Day 6 & 7

Unfortunately, day 6 of the vacation was a little overcast with a threat of rain. We did not want to risk getting out to the beach with Isabelle and her array of toys, just to be scared off the beach by rain. We took this as an opportunity to take Isabelle to see the new movie Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I was a little sad that the movie was not in 3D here, but it was still a great movie. I almost forgot to include that Isabelle has Sandy's father (Pop Pop Fisher) and Aunt Teeney (Pop Pop Fisher's sister) wrapped around her finger. The other morning we were all sitting in the living room and Isabelle, Pop Pop Fish, and Aunt Teeney were on the balcony. I look outside and Isabelle has the two of them lined up and showing them how to do ballet demi plia. As Mastercard would say it was PRICELESS, a 80 year old man outside taking a ballet lesson from a three year old.

On day 7 we spent the day together as a family, just Dave, Isabelle and myself. We decided that we would take a trip to the zoo in Salisbury, about 30 minutes from Ocean City. We packed a picnic lunch and were on our way. I have to say that I was not really impressed with the zoo, now I know why they did not charge for admission. We were able to see a couple of animals that they do not have at the Dallas Zoo so the trip was not a complete loss =) I got a great picture of a peacock with his beautiful feathers on display, and Isabelle was able to see a sloth like the one in Ice Age. We ate lunch at a really neat park that was right outside the zoo, Isabelle loved it!

After the zoo we headed back to OC to take Isabelle to play putt putt golf. We took her last year and she played for about 5 minutes then she was over the whole experience. This year she had a blast playing putt putt. Dave showed her how to hit the ball, right after she hit it she would yell "SCORE". Where she got that I don't know, but it was cute =) Sometimes when she would not make the first shot she would scoop up the ball and put it in the hole by hand. After each hole I would ask her how many hits it took her to make the hole (to keep score) and she would yell out a number. By the end of the game her score was a little over 250! That has to be some sort of record.

These were some beautiful mosaics outside of the zoo at the park.
