Erica's New Boss!!

For those of you have not heard the news I have decided to quit my job, so now I have a new boss her name is Isabelle! Yeah!! I am going to be a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM), and I am so excited!

XM Radio has been a wonderful job, it is fun, and I absolutely love it; but on the other hand I am missing my baby grow up. I went to sleep last night and she was 19 inches, 8lbs. 10 oz. , woke up this morning and she is 2 YEARS OLD! Everyday I am at work I see mom's with their little babies and I think to myself, "I miss my little girl". Dave and I are going to make a lot of scarifies (including going down to one car), but nothing can compare to how wonderful it will be to raise our daughter ourselves. I truly believe that this will not only make me a better Mom but a better wife to my husband and best friend. (as sappy as that may sound) So my last day as District Manager for XM Radio will be March 14th.

With all of that being said, I am scared to death.... I hope that we can make it, going to one income is very scary! But I know that God will provide for us no matter what, and that this is definitely the right thing to do. So please keep us in your prayers (and start saving your change, we might need it later.. LOL kidding!!).

Isabelle's First Boy Kiss

If you are a member of The Uncle's Board (you know who you are) than please do not read this post.

Last week I went to pick up my Little Bellarina from school, when I opened the door and Isabelle ran up to me behind her was Jonah (her boyfriend). Jonah gave Isabelle a hug and so I said, "ah, Jonah that is sweet giving Isabelle a hug". Jonah answered back, "and a KISS" and planted one on her, right on the lips!! It was the most precious thing that I have ever seen. (That is besides my little angel sleeping)

(this is only a reenactment, no actual babies were harmed in this illustration)

Elmo Grows Up

For Isabelle's Birthday we told Isabelle that we would take her to Elmo's house!! On Friday night we took our little Bellarina to the Nokia Theatre to see Elmo Grow's up.. As you can see Dad was sooo excited, and I was pretty psyched myself....

Isabelle had a good time, she even got a Elmo light up toy that whirls around. Isabelle was very sleepy, but the kid fights sleep better than anyone that I have ever met in my entire life. The next day after we picked her up at school, the first thing that comes out of her mouth is "Elmo's house". Look's like Dad is dressing up like Elmo for Halloween, shh he doesn't know yet!

Cylie's Birthday Party

Sunday, Feb. 17th, Isabelle's 2nd cousin (Cylie) celebrated her very 1st birthday party. There was tons of family and friends there that we have not seen in such a long time. Isabelle rarely gets to see my mom's side of the family; Grandad, Grandma, Kathy, Kelly, Terrah, Tammy, etc.. I really need to get better about going out to Benbrook to share Isabelle, it is just soooo far!!

Anyway, Cylie looked so sweet in her Birthday Girl shirt! She had a great time digging into the cake, she was very lady-like and dainty about not getting it all over herself. All day Isabelle talked about Cylie and going to her birthday party, she loves her Cylie!!

Thank you for the pictures Kristi- I brought my camera but forgot to use it!!

Isabelle says, "Cheese" in every picture.. LOL

One Hail of a Time

So we are all lying in bed about 6:30 AM on the Saturday morning of Isabelle's birthday party when we hear this huge THUD outside. I wondered what it was, but I thought I would blame it on that pesky dog Tootsie. Then Dave and I hear a couple more thuds, OH NO IT'S HAIL!! I did not really think that we were going to get any hail damage, but I was wrong.

I am not really sure why I thought that near golf ball size hail would not damage our cars but between the two vehicles we have near $5K in damage to our cars. Not only that but State Farm also recommended that we have someone come out and look at our roof, so keep our roof in your prayers!! That would be awful!

I cannot believe that I am going to say this but my baby is 2!!! I can still remember the day that we brought her home and I could not believe that they actually let me leave the hospital with a little person. I can't even keep plants alive, but I do have to say that I have been pretty successful in keeping Isabelle watered and fed.

Her birthday was a big success and she was SOOOO excited. All morning long she wondered around the house saying, "party, party, party". I tried singing Happy Birthday to her but she would only get mad and tell me to wait until her party.

The party was so much fun! As the guest arrived she would yell out there name, especially when Jonah pulled up with his Mommy. (Jonah and Isabelle are inseparable at school, I think they are boyfriend and girlfriend but Isabelle will not confirm) As soon as Jonah got there Isabelle gave him a big hug. Mr. Isaac came and all of the kids sang and danced. (Mr. Isaac is a guy that comes and sings at Isabelle's school every Tuesday) He brought his guitar, drums, and all kinds of instruments. Isabelle sat next to Jonah and danced, until Jonah feel down and bonked his head. Nurse Isabelle came to the rescue for her "man" and held ice on his head, it was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Torin (one of Isabelle's class mates) lined up all of the drums and played for everyone, it was adorable. Torin is definitely going to be in a rock band when he grows up.

After Mr. Isaac's appearance all of the kids ate pizza, ice cream, and the cupcakes that I worked so hard on. Isabelle had an Elmo themed party so I made Elmo, Zoe and Cookie Monster cupcakes; they were adorable if I do say so myself.

I still cannot believe that my little girl is almost 2 years old (only 2 more days). I told Dave that I no longer have a baby that she is a big girl now. His answer to this was to swaddle Isabelle up in a blanket and he handed me one of her babies bottles to feed her, it is just not the same! She is getting so big!

My first blog EVER!

I guess it could be hard to imagine for some, but this is my first blog EVER! I saw today on someone's email signature that they had a family blog and thought to myself, " self, why does the Wink family not have a blog". I answered back, "let's do it then" and so here we are! Everyone knows that I love sharing pictures of my sweet Isabelle so this should work out just perfect.

I seem to be low on spare time lately so my commitment to you (as my audience) is that I will try to update and post pictures at a minimum of once a week. WOW, what a statement we will have to see if this actually takes place. Wish me luck.
