Isabelle's 3rd Birthday Pictures

Here is a slide show that I put together from Isabelle's birthday party. Before viewing I would like to say that I am incredibly disappointed in the Smilebox lately. They do not have very good designs that accommodate multiple pictures, they crop some of my pictures (which I hate), and the music is awful. With that said, I did my best with what I had to work with. If anyone know another site to get a free slideshow that can be posted to Blogger, Facebook and sent via email PLEASE let me know.

Cylie's 2nd Birthday

Saturday we had another birthday to attend in honor of Cylie! I made the cake for the party, and I have to say that it turned out pretty awesome. I was very proud, yet sad to see it cut and devoured.

(the theme was Yo Gabba Gabba, a show on Nick)

The Park as Promised

I am so desperate for naps from Isabelle that I am resorting to bribery a lot more often than usual. Friday I told Isabelle that if she actually slept during nap time that when Daddy got home we would go to the park. It worked, she finally feel asleep!

We have a new lens so I took a ton of pictures at the park. Look how happy she is, it's the little things in life.

I love these two

Cards

For those of you that have asked, business has been going great! Here are a couple of the cards that I have done in the past couple of weeks: (click on image to enlarge)

My friend Jaime's new nephew- how exciting!

Laura's Son Mason

This wedding sounds like so much fun!

Jamaican Finale

Here are the last few pictures from Jamaica, sorry it has taken so long I have had a busy few weeks.

I could not resist doing a little Photo Shop magic on this image. The sign used to say Jerk Center but when you see an opportunity like this one what are you going to do?

The final night in Jamaica we had a wonderful dinner at the Rose Hall White Witch Mansion. It is a beautiful, supposedly haunted mansion that has been completely restored. We took a tour of the mansion and then had dinner and dancing on the front lawn. It was very romantic and beautiful!

Dave's dune buggy adventure, he was a mess! After seeing him I am so glad I opted to have enjoy the day at the spa. He had a blast though

Jackson's 3rd Birthday!

Before Dave and I left for Jamaica we had a very important birthday party to go to.. Jackson's 3rd Birthday! The party was at The Wiggly Play Center which is always so much fun. Isabelle told me her favorite part was dancing and "shaking her body" to the Wiggles.

I love this picture it reminds me of "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to". A shot of Abby and Isabelle, Abby is so great with her and just loves her to death.

The Birthday Gang!

Jen, thanks for letting me make the invitations they were so much fun!

Happy Birthday Jack Jack

Isabelle is turning 3!

I cannot believe that the teeny tiny little baby girl that I brought home (what is seems like) yesterday from the hospital is turning 3! My how the time has flown by. Here are some awesome pictures that my best friend in the whole wide world took for me, thanks Laura=) http://www.watermelon-photography.com/

A vivid imagination

I have so many pictures and things to share from this week, but not enough time to blog right now. I do have to share a story, before I forget to post it from dinner tonight.

We all went out to dinner tonight for Valentine's Day, nothing fancy just the local Chinese food restaurant (which is awesome by the way). Back on track Erica.. Anyway, so Isabelle starts one of her sessions where she starts rambling on and on about things that are completely random. I could not believe the story that she came up with tonight. She said:

"I was marching one day (as she demonstrates the marching in the booth), a guard told me to stop. I didn't stop, I pushed him and then he shot me in the eye. It was bleeding and bleeding so I went to the hospital. I told the doctor, "I'm going to die, I'm going to die" and he told me to be quiet".

Where the heck does a 3 year old come up with a story like that. We asked her what happened, and I am happy to report the doctor was able to fix her eye. He glued it back in with a glue stick!!

I promise we are not letting her watch war movies, I might need to start monitoring PBS a little more. Apparently there are some serious violent and dramatic events happening on Sid the Science Kid.

Isabelle's vacation

While Dave and I were in Baltimore for his grandmothers funeral Isabelle went to stay with Grandma. The first night that she spent with Grandma she stayed at my Aunt Kelly's house in Fairview (it is about 10 minutes from our house). While at their house she had a blast! Shauna (my cousin) did her nails, Aunt Kelly did her hair, and she met her new favorite fireman Bradley! (he is my cousin)

Isabelle just loved Bradley, he watched cartoons with her and even gave her a fire truck. What sealed the deal for her is that Bradley has BIG tires on his truck, and you know who much Isabelle loves tires.

Here is a slide show that Kelly put together with all of the pictures, looks like she had a blast. Thanks Kelly!

Valentine's Day Card

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I threw together a card for Isabelle. She was such a good sport letting me take pictures of her in all of these positions.

Please click on the image to enlarge, I hate how crappy the pictures look on Blogger sometimes

Lucky Shoe Day

I have to say that I have been a little depressed because Isabelle is growing out of her (and my) favorite shoes. She has these adorable pink sequin sneakers that I get so many comments on and she wears with EVERYTHING! So when Dave told me that the shoes were starting to get a little small I was very sad.

I have looked in the past and cannot find the shoes in any other sizes. I guess today was my lucky day because I looked one last time on The Children's Place website and Eureka, they have the shoe! Lucky day! I paid almost as much for shipping as I did for the shoe, but who cares they are on their way... yeah!

Love these shoes

Our $18,00 day

What an expensive evening this was! We took a recommendation from Dave's cousin, Jen, and decided to have dinner at a restaurant called Marguerites in Montego Bay. It was absolutely delicious! Dave and I enjoyed a Caesar salad for two made table side, absolutely the best Caesar salad I have ever had. After the salad we both had a Jerk Lobster Tail with a Jerk Filet Minon. The food was great at a little over $14,000 thank God this was before it was translated into American dollars. After dinner, drinks at Margaritaville, small souveneirs, and a taxi ride we had spent over $18,000 in one day! For one day we could pretend that we were millionaires and would spend tens of thousand of dollars on one meal. Even thought it really only translated into a $150 US dollars, but noone had to know. Thanks for the recommendation Jen, it was awesome!

What a romantic view from Margaritaville, and the empty streets of Jamaica

You know you are serious about Tequila when you have Patron on tap!

I was very surprised about how slow Jamaica was. There was hardly anyone at our hotel. I asked the lady at the spa if they were normally this slow this time of year and she said they were usually swamped and not even allowed to take a day off this time of year. Now due to the economy they have 4-5 days off a week. Someone else told me that even the cruise ships have cut way back. They normally have 3-4 ships a day come into Monetego Bay and now they are lucky to get 2 and most times only get 1 a day. As you can see in the pictures of the city there was not a single tourist on the streets but us. Very sad!

Tuesday- Relaxing, Pampering and a lot of mud

Tuesday was the "free day" of the vacation. We had a few options of things to do that day, and as any woman would do I choose to spend the day at the spa. While I was spending the day at the spa Dave was getting his own Mud Bath on a Dune buggy tour.

My spa day consisted of a facial, manicure and pedicure. Since quitting my job to stay at home with Isabelle (almost a year ago), I can count the number of times I have had a manicure/pedicure on just a few fingers, not even a whole hand. It was very relaxing. Other than the lady ragging on me while getting my facial about my face cleaning ritual, big pores (that I was told are irreversibly damaged), and the fact that I don't use eye cream. Other than all that, very relaxing =) Needless to say I am going to do some research on some affordable yet good face cleaning and maintenance product, any suggestions are welcome. Bad thing was when I opened my eyes to really get a good look to see how awful HER face looked, I was sad to see she was blemishless. (What a b***h, excuse me sorry!)

Anyway after my relaxing day at the spa I went back to the hotel room to wait for Dave to get back from his dune buggy ride. When he got back he was barely recognizable, I just wish I would have taken a picture. He walked in, I asked him what happened and he told me he would have to tell me about it after he showered. I am sure the maid must have thought we had a mud bath in our hotel bathroom. Come to find out he was covered head to toe with mud on the tour, which he loved every minute of, and so he decided to jump in the ocean fully clothed. SOOO glad that I choose a spa day over the dune buggies.

Monday Night

On Monday night after a long day of relaxing by the pool, we attended a Mixology class. After our short lesson on the art of drink making we all split up into groups to see who could make the best drink. My team won, yeah!! (we beat Dave's team by one point, a complete blow out if you ask me)

After dinner we headed to the beach for a beach cook out complete with a bonfire, fire dancer, limbo dancers, and sand fleas. Oh boy did the sand fleas love me, I was eaten alive. Tempted to buy some Benadryl cream for the constant nagging itch but could not swallow paying $18 at the Ritz's gift shop. A little over priced if you ask me.
