My Conception Adventure

As you know Dave and I have been trying to get pregnant for a little over a year now, and we are finally at our wits end. We went an saw a fertility specialist a few weeks ago so this week I start my treatment. I had hoped that just going to the fertility specialist in itself would somehow make me pregnant. Anyhow we had the consultation and found out that I just do not ovulate right, well that it probably one of the problems. So his plan is to start me on clomid and some sort of injection (forgot the name of it). I start the Clomid Thursday (tomorrow), and take that for 5 days. Then on Saturday the 9th I go to his office for a sonogram. If it looks like the Clomid is doing its job then they give me the shot and that will make me ovulate for the next 36 hours. Then I guess Dave and I do our business for the next couple of days =) hopefully this will be our month, but if not then we will try the treatment again and possibly do an IUI. Which is when they do all of the work for us by injecting Dave's swimmers into me, how romantic.

So that is our plan, please keep us in your prayers.

Daddy, Pacifiers and Dogs

Isabelle two favorite things to pretend to be are a dog and a baby, last week she was both! We painted our bedroom last week and so we had to move around the furniture. When we moved the dresser we found a handful of old paci's that disappeared a long time ago. Isabelle of course found one and immediately stuck it in her mouth, as much as I hate it she looked so cute =) It reminded me of her baby days.

After pretending she was a baby she decided to be a dog. Dave was in the kitchen cutting up some chicken, when Tootsie decided to sit under him and patiently wait for Dave to drop something (anything). Isabelle decided that she was going to do the same, so Isabelle and Tootsie took turns taking bites.

Life is Grand!

A new playhouse and licking cake batter off of a spoon, it doesn't get much better than that. That is if you are three years old!

As many of you know I am far from an impulse buyer, in fact I am extremely cheap. I will search the internet, find coupons, coupon codes, work out pros and cons, etc. Last week I made a pretty impulsive purchase because I could not fight back the feeling anymore. Since February Costco has had the cutest playhouse. I keep staring at it in awe thinking that Isabelle would love it! Last week I could not take it anymore, I just had to have it. Wednesday night Dave and I spent hours putting it together, you should have seen how happy Isabelle was. I love being a Mommy =)

The front door of the house has a basket hoop, a working doorbell and a working mailbox. The other side is a puppet theater that even came with two little hand puppets. I will be sure to keep you posted on the first puppet show.

There is a grill, sink and phone and the final side has two bins one for sand and the other to play with water.

She loves to help me bake! I know she should not eat raw batter with whole raw egg thing, but how can I say no to this face.

Bluebonnets

I cannot believe that I have lived in Texas all of my life and have never taken bluebonnet pictures. Isabelle is three years old and this is the first year that I have finally got around to getting them done. I found a great place, thanks to Mamasource, and my friend Laura and I took our girls there. Isabelle had a great time running through the flowers and being her normal ham self.

Easter

We had a marathon Easter this year, but still had a great time (3 houses in one day, we are loved!) This year for Easter I wanted the Easter Bunny to start an egg hunt tradition with Isabelle. Since she is still pretty young the bunny decided that he would not leave clues or a map just yet, instead he strung yarn all over the house and made her follow the yarn to find her basket. She had a great time and was so excited about all of the craft projects the Easter Bunny brought her, he must have known not to bring much candy since she would get a lot throughout the day.

She just loves bubbles =)

Easter Bunny

I am so glad that my daughter is not afraid of giant stuffed bunnies! Judging by the smile on her face the bunny should be afraid of her.. LOL This new fake smile is awesome =)

My Little Drama Queen

I have a bunch to catch up on with the blog, sorry I have just been so busy lately.I wanted to share just a few things that have taken place in the last couple of weeks with my little drama queen.

First, we will start with my first "child says something incredibly embarrassing" incident at the store. I have been so blessed that Isabelle really hasn't said anything embarrassing yet in public, usually whatever she says can somehow be interpreted as being cute. We were at Target shopping and I was of curse looking at the clearance rack in the kid department when Isabelle yelled, "Mommy, Mommy I am scared of that monster" as she clings to my leg. I asked her what she just said and of course she repeated it, but just a little louder. "What monster", and she points at this "little person" (midget) not sure of the PC term. I was so embarrassed and of course he was only standing a few feet away from us. What do you do at this point? I can't make her apologize because she is scared and has no idea what she said was wrong. I don't want to apologize because I have no idea if he really heard or not (pretty sure he probably did). All I could do is explain to her that everyone is special in their own way and that God made us all different. A couple of days later at Chili's what do we see, another little person. I mean come on what is the chances of two little people in one week, crazy! It was embarrassing at the moment but I am sure will make for a good story as she get's older.

My second Diva moment was yesterday at Tom Thumb. Isabelle had a little stuffed dog with her in the shopping cart. When we were leaving I told her,"don't forget your dog". She went to look for it and of course it was gone! Oh my God you would have thought that the dog was real or something. She starts screaming, "my dog", crying huge crocodile tears and was sooooo upset. The bagger immediately freaks out and offers to help look for it. He runs to customer service and no one has turned it in. He then tells me he is going to walk the aisles and asked what it looks like. I explain to him that it is really not a big deal it is just a toy from a happy meal at Wendy's! He runs off to start looking and Isabelle announces that she wants to look to. As we are walking up and down the aisles she is crying and saying, "I'm so sorry dog". I finally tell her that we can't find him so we will just have to get her another toy one day. "Mommy, please don't stop looking. Don't give up Mommy". Oh my gosh, what a nightmare! I finally get her out of the store in one piece, call Dave and tell him that we are going to Wendy's for dinner tonight to replace a dog. When we get to Wendy's they have a display box with all of the toys offered and she runs up to the dog in the display and says, "I am so sorry" as she pets the box. What a drama queen! Of course they are out of the dogs, so apparently we are going to be eating at Wendy's a lot until we replace the priceless, precious, 38 cent toy!

Third and final Diva moment (at least that last one for this post). Yesterday Isabelle walks up to me hands me her juice box and says, "I am ready for happy hour now". I now know that I partake in Sonic's happy hour way to much =)

The best day ever

A few weeks ago, our family experience the best family day EVER. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and a sweet little girl. We spent the whole day together as a family playing outside and spending time together. We first went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt in the morning, which Isabelle did not really participate in at all. After the hunt we went to lunch and headed over to the toy story to see if we could find a bike for Isabelle.

The bike thing has been a big debate for the past few months now. We initially took Isabelle to look at bikes in December because we thought maybe Santa could bring her one. She was so excited got on the bike and decided that she didn't want a bike. We took her again at her birthday, she was so excited about getting a bike for her birthday got on and decided against it at the last minute. So the other day we are at the park and she was riding a little girls bike and would not get off. That was when we finally decided to get her a bike. Then it turned into do we buy a ig bike so it will last longer or get her a trike. After three stores and Isabelle trying out many differerent bikes we ended up with the Radio Flyer Red Tricylce from Wal-Mart. She was sooo excited and rides the bike EVERY single day, she even rode it through Wal-Mart to the check out counter. It was so cute, passers by were so tickled by this little girl riding her new bike through Wal-Mart.

Look how hard she is concentrating, so cute and serious!

As dad mowed the lawn Isabelle drove her bike up and down the side walk. She started to get a little more adventurous and asked if she could ride down to one of the signs down the street. I told her that she could and I would stay back and watch. Next thing you know she is gone and way passed the sign (still in my sight). I run down to tell her that she passed the sign when she says, "no I didn't" and points at a completely different sign across a major street! "No way", so I decide to walk with her and let her ride to the school. Once we got to the school I showed her the bike rack where she needed to park. She played for a little bit until her bike started to "need" her again. (Had to be the shortest trip ever to the park, she was so excited to get back to riding) Half way home she announced that her bike was starting to run out of gas, it wasn't going as fast.. LOL

Wood chips in the air.. Isabelle and her Radio Flyer reunited and it feels so good =)

When we got back home Dad had finsihed the yard so we went in the back to play on the swing set for a little bit. Here is a collage from Isabelle having so much fun and cutting it up.

To top of our day we grilled some steak and had a picnic in the backyard. It was one of the best family days ever. I love my life =)

Crafty Daddy

I have been trying to get some projects done around the house lately, so about a week ago I decided to paint the dining room. While I painted I put Dave and Isabelle to work doing their first ever Daddy Daughter Craft Project. Daddy was a little out of his element but they had so much fun, especially Isabelle since Daddy let her paint it any color she wanted =) Mommy is a little to OCD for any color you want, with Daddy she has complete creative control. It came out so cute, but she refused to take a picture with it. The photos I managed to get have been taken over the past week.

A house for the birds in the making

The only way I could get her to look at me for the picture was to tell her I was on fire. I don't know why she refused to be in the picture with the bird house, it turned out so cute =) Good job Daddy!

Isabelle's Motorcycle Ride

Since Dave purchased his motorcycle about a year ago I have told him that there was no way that Isabelle (ore myself) would ride on it because it is way to dangerous. Well we finally decided to get rid of the motorcycle and get a second car so Dave decided that he should take Isabelle on one ride before the new buyers came to pick it up. She was a little scared at first because it is so loud, but by the time the got back from around the block she was loving it. Don't worry I only let them go around the block and they went very slow!

Sorry about all of the wind in the background

Family Party

Last Saturday we attended a family party at the Diamond Club in the Ballpark in Arlington. We had a great time seeing family that we have not seen in forever it seems. The party was for my moms side of the family, which I do not see near enough. We had such a great time, and as usual Isabelle was a party animal. Isabelle and I made our first singing appearance when we sang "Mama Mia" on karaoke, she did so good. Her favorite show is American Idol so when she had the chance to sing she was thrilled, after her song she yelled, "I'm going to Hollywood". LOL

Me and just a few of my cousins- Isabelle singing her little heart out

Magic Noodles

Isabelle loves doing craft projects so we are always looking for new projects. The other day at Michael's we found these really neat noodles, that you get a little wet and then they stick together. Isabelle wanted me to make her a hat and some sunglasses with them, check it out:

Audra & Garrett's Wedding

I am sorry it has been so long since my last post, I have been very busy. A couple of weekends ago we all went to the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Young. Garrett was Dave's best man for our wedding, and naturally a very good friend of Dave's. It was so nice to see Dave in a suit, I told Isabelle to remember this moment because Daddy does not get dressed up very often =) Anyway, we had a great time and Audra (the bride) looked beautiful. The dress was amazing, I got a great shot of the back but never really got a very good one of the front.

Isabelle was in her element at the reception, dancing like a party animal and living it up. The girl loves to dance! She wants to go to a wedding every weekend now just so we can go dancing. I need to find some sort of kids club where we can go dance, she would have a blast! By the end of the night she was passed out grasping onto the rose from Daddy's boutonniere.

Dave's dad made the wedding cake, he did a really good job!
