When will it be our turn?

It will be a year next month when Dave and I started trying to get pregnant. and I am getting very frustrated. It seems like the months are flying by with the same results. We try to conceive every other day for two weeks of the month, which let me assure you it is now a job and there is absolutely no fun in it anymore. The week following is the week of stress when you feel like every little thing that happens to your body is a sign of pregnancy, but you try not to look into it because you know it is your mind playing tricks on you. But you still have the thought of maybe its not a trick, maybe I am pregnant. So you are a complete and total mess for a week or two. Then you finally start your period again and you are in a state of depression for another week, until you start the whole vicious cycle all over again.

Urghh, so when is it going to happen? I am getting so incredibly frustrated, beaten down and feeling like it won't ever be our turn. I am very grateful for Isabelle, don't get me wrong but still sad none the less.

Super Jonah

Saturday afternoon Isabelle and I had a birthday party to attend for one of her good friends, Jonah. The party was at the Little Gym and there was a surprise appearance from Spider Man himself!

Isabelle and Jonah jumping with Spiderman. This picture would have been so cute if it had not been for this darn balloon in the middle of Isabelle's face =(

My new addiction

Hello my name is Erica, and I am a sewaholic! I have found a new passion for sewing that I have not had in a long time. When I was younger I my grandmother had me take sewing classes (I guess I was about 10 years old), but I have not really sewed since. Now I just cannot stop. I can't tell you how excited I get when I step foot into a fabric store, I LOVE IT! So I made Isabelle a new creation check it out:

This outfit was made from an old pair of jeans that Isabelle had that fit her in the waist but were to short. Complete with matching bows and everything =) I cannot believe that Isabelle can wear 18 month old jeans, not to mention I still have to adjust them so that they don't fall off of her.

The Girly Girls

We had a play date with my good friend Jaime and her daughter Kaitlyn. We had so much fun! After playing for a while at Jaime's we headed over to the mall to check out a new store that recently opened, Sassy Katz. They have some adorable (expensive) clothing, and a neat little stage in the back of the store. One of the ladies who worked there put glitter on the girls, makeup and even painted their nails. The girls took the stage and then starting singing Karaoke like miniature American Idols. (that happens to be Isabelle's favorite show) We snapped some pictures of the girls, they were so cute =)

Our Craft Day

Isabelle is really into craft project these days, so last week we went craft project crazy! First we finally brought out the dreaded Moon Sand. Isabelle has been asking for Moon Sand forever but I keep telling her no. Finally for her birthday I decided that I would suprise her with the gift that she so longed for. Of course right after her birthday I started reading how messy and awful it was, I was horrified. I have to say that it really was not that bad, thank God that Isabelle is a relatively neat child. She had a blast.

Our second project of the day was the Easter Bunny House. She loved making a gingerbread house for Christmas, so when she saw the kit for Easter she just had to have it. She did a great job, although many of the decorations were consumed by the princess herself.

Cruise- Saturday (the final day)

The final day at sea was really a packing and relaxing day. Nothing eventful to report, here are a few of the pictures:

Fun Ship Freddie and Isabelle with Pop Pops sting ray towel

I made Isabelle a swing for her babies in our room out of towels. She was able to swing Freddie and Pinky. As you can see the last towel picture was against her own will =)

The Horrible Foot Injury

On Friday evening before dinner Isabelle suffered a horrible foot injury. There was so much blood, to give you an idea of how much I will compare it to something. Let me so, oh I got it... Do you know how diabetics take a finger prick to get their blood sugar, well it was about half of that blood! I mean it was bad! SO bad in fact that Isabelle could not walk for almost 24 hours. This girl is a HUGE drama queen. She would make Dave and I carry her or push her in her stroller everywhere. She also had a towel that she kept on her foot at all times and would freak out if it was gone. You should have seen her going to the bathroom, hopping on one leg and having to keep the towel on the other. This foot was almost the end of my sanity! Thank God that it has finally started to heal and she is finally getting better.

Cruise- Friday (Cozumel)

Our last excursion day took us to Cozumel. We did a little shopping and picked up maracas and a flute for Isabelle. We ended up at our favorite Cozumel restaurant, Pancho's Backyard. They have absolutely the best margarita, we even got Isabelle a virgin margarita to cool her off from the hot day.

I told Isabelle to give a thumbs up to daddy, her version is a pointer finger up.
Again we have Pinky in another picture, drinking Isabelle's virgin margarita.

I cannot believe that the cartons actually said this =) Awesome

Happy 80th Birthday Pop Pop

Cruise- Thursday (Grand Caymans)

The last time that we were in the Caymans we booked an excursion to Boatswain Beach and because there were not enough people they canceled the excursion. This time we took matters into our hands and booked our own excursion to Boatswain, and it was a lot of fun!

Boatswain is a Turtle Farm, so we saw a lot turtles, iguanas, sharks and fish. Dave held a turtle but Isabelle was not interested in touching it. We learned a lot about sharks and even watched them hand feed some at lunch time. If you are snorkeler this place was pretty neat because you they had a lazy river type lagoon with fish and you could snorkel around the park. The lagoon even butted up next to the predator tank so you could swim right next to a shark. They also had a pool, but by the time we got there and after our day in Jamaica Isabelle was spent. We decided to head back to the boat for a nap, but it was still a very fun day =)

Checking out our next stop on her map, she loves adventures! Yippee Ice Cream!!

The snorkeling lagoon, and the waterfall at the swimming pool. Absolutely beautiful.

Our ship in the background

As mentioned in an earlier post dinner was always an adventure. Isabelle's favorite past time was pouring water from one glass to another. She would absolutely drench the table but it was vacation, what the heck! Look at the seriousness in her eyes, she meant business.

My sweet family

I just love the second picture of us. Do you remember when you were little and your dad yelled at you through his teeth. Dave thinks he doesn't do it, but I now have it caught on camera =) He was getting mad because Isabelle wouldn't smile, funny thing is that Isabelle has a great smile in the picture. LOL

She found a new love while on the trip, CHERRIES. I was worried that she would turn into a cherry. Click on the swan picture and look at her smile she has a mouth full of chocolate, another cruise fav the chocolate mints =)

After a few days we had to not only take pics of our towel animals, but Pop Pop and Mom Mom's too! This was us making our chubby family faces.. LOL
