Hell has Frozen Over!!!!

I just noticed this post in my unpublished folder.. I thought I would finally go ahead and tell the world my news!

Dave has been wanting a bike forever now, and blames the fact that he does not have one on being married. Then you add the fact that my father, and grandfather both have Harley's, we are now down to one car, and gas is $4.00 a gallon and it was inevitable.

Dave is now the proud owner of a 2003 Honda Shadow, and I am scared to death. Please everyone keep Dave's safety in your prayers.... I am excited to see that Dave is so excited, he now is riding with the wind in his hair.

Kid's Say the Darndest Things

It amazes me the things Isabelle says now that she is getting so big, she is carrying on complete conversations. She definitely get's her talking skills from Mommy...

Me-Isabelle we are going to go to the library, then go home and eat, take a nap, etc.
I- Then ride rides and see fireworks? (She is still on vacation in her mind)
Me- No, rides only come once a year Isabelle
I- "Oh Come on Mommy" (Dave claims that this is a Mommy-ism and I say come on all of the time.. LOL)

The other day I bought banana's and they were a little green but Isabelle wanted one anyways, I gave her one bite and she spit it out and said, "Yucky, I am going to wait until they are yellow Mommy".. How does she know that??

There is more to come, I am just drawing a blank right now.

The rest of our vacation

I apologize that I have taken so long to get the rest of my vacation pictures up but here they are:

These pictures are from Frontier Town, this place is so neat they have a put-put golf course and a water park. We did not play Putt-Putt with Isabelle, given our last experience with her being a big cheat and imapatient, so we spent our day at the water park. Isabelle had a great time lounging in the lazy river, and sliding down the slides with Daddy.

Another day at the boardwalk, and of course Isabelle had to ride more rides.. We all decided that we would take a ride on the Ferris wheel (which was my idea) and it was a big mistake. I think in my older age I am turning into a bit of a wimp, I have never been scared of heights but once we were so high in the air I was starting to worry a little. This will probably be the last time that I will be in a Ferris wheel again, what a horrible I idea... What was I thinking?? We did get some good pictures, and Dave decided to stick the camera out over the ledge so he could get a good picture of what we would see if we were to fall. There was no way that I was going to look at that picture until my feet were planted firmly on the ground, what a creep. (click on the pictures for a larger image)

Isabelle played a ducky game on the boardwalk, and took pictures with her new prizes! Then we took the bus back to the condo for Isabelle to take a nap. I snapped a picture of my big girl waiting for the bus at the bus stop, she thinks she is an adult now.

Rides, rides, and more rides...

You must click on the first picture here, Isabelle is such a ride pro now that she is just leaning back in the balloon with her arms up just relaxing..

For the last dinner on our vacation we went to a farm for dinner (Greenwood Farm). It was so neat they had live goats, chickens, roosters, etc. The dinner was served family style and it was very old fashioned. Suprisengly enough the food was WONDERFUL, there was not a thing on the table that did not taste phanominal. We will definately be going back to eat here on our next visit to Ocean City. One of the things that I found funny was when you pull up it reminds you of being in a scary movie. You know the movies you see where teenagers are on spring break and they are having car trouble, so they stop into a local dive for diner while they wait for their car to be fixed. Later they find out that they are eating people, and that they are the next tio die... It reminded me of that kind of place =)

More Rides!

We have created a ride loving monster, that is all Isabelle ever wants to do anymore is ride the rides. So yesterday we took her to Jolly Roger to hit up their rides. We bought an all day pass so that she could ride unlimited rides, but after approaching all of the rides she was to short to ride any of them alone. We ended up having to get a bracelet for Dave, so that he could ride with her. Have you ever seen Tommy Boy and heard the song, "Fat Guy in a little Coat"?? Well this was fat guys in a helicopter, on a slide, on a cho-cho train, etc... I had to get pictures of this!!

The 4th of July

What a busy day for us all, and Isabelle got to experience to 1st in one day. She rode the "school bus" (that is what Isabelle calls the city bus), and she saw fireworks. In the afternoon Isabelle, Dave and I went to the boardwalk and ate lunch. Isabelle ate just about an entire piece of Tony's pizza, and trust me when I say they have HUGE pieces. We then walked down the boardwalk and took the bus back. The whole time on the bus she was saying, "I'm on a school bus, and I'm fine". Now all she can talk about is riding on the school bus, and how she will be fine (I guess she thinks we are concerned that something will happen to her). Once it started getting closer to dark we headed back to the boardwalk to ride some more rides before the big show. Isabelle took her Naked Baby (that's one of her baby's name) on a bunch of rides.

After the rides it was time for fireworks. I have been to Ocean City two other times but have never been here for the fireworks, and I have to say it is AWESOME! The setup a stage on the beach off of the boardwalk, and a band plays while you wait for the fireworks to start. Unfortunately, we were expecting a bunch of rain so the band did not play, it was a safety hazard with the electricty and everything. The fireworks were not scheuled to go off until 9:30 but someone made the decision to go ahead with them at 8:30 in order to miss the rain. That was a very wise decision because the rain came pouring down about 5 minutes after they were all done. Anyways back to the fireworks, Isabelle loved them! I thought Isabelle would be scred but she kept yelling for more fireworks. They were so close to us that we were getting hit with flying debri on ocassion. I have never been that close, it was amazing...

Pop Pop and Isabelle watching the fireworks, sorry the pic with Isabelle and me is so blurry I don't know what happened

Dinner at the Embers

Thursday night we went to the Ember's for dinner, it was wonderful. Last year when we went out to eat Isabelle looked so cute going in and left naked after spilling water all over herself. This year she managed to keep herself together and was able to leave fully clothed. I was so proud =)

Adventures in Golfing

Wednesday night was Isabelle's first adventure in golfing. We went to Old Pro Golfing, but Isabelle was not that great. In fact Isabelle is better at cheating than actually playing. She hits the ball one time, then runs and puts it in the hole by hand. She was good doing that for about 3 holes and then she started to loose interest. By hole 7 Isabelle and I decided to take a tour of the safari side of the course, in order to keep the sanity of the remaining players. Isabelle and I had a blast taking pictures of the animals.

Isabelle was a little afraid of the lion because his cage opened and shut! She was almost eaten by a hippo though

She took a nap on an alligator. Isabelle's arm was almost eaten by a tiger, but don't worry she said it was just pretend.

I love this picture with Isabelle and Uncle Mike, she was so sleepy and ready to go home. The bad thing is Uncle Mike ruined her forever, he is so tall that she got to go really high, now dad's shoulders and nothing compared to Uncle Mike.
