Please Touch Museum- The Greatest Place on Earth

On day two of vacation, Saturday, we went to a place called the Please Touch museum in Philadelphia. It was AWESOME, my personal opinion is it was better than Sesame Place (which is saying a lot). This place was designed just for kids to do all of the things that they dream about. Isabelle first drove a city bus, ran in a hamster wheel, rowed a boat, and then sat inside of a rocket ship. After all of this we went in a room where you build an airplane out of all of these parts and then hoist it up over 40 feet into the air and see if it flies. Dave and Isabelle built great planes and Isabelle hoisted them up into the sky, it was so neat. After the airplanes Isabelle put on a mechanics uniform and began working on a car, she changed the tires of a race car as a one girl pit crew, and then drove a Scion. She worked a dump truck, and then posed as the State of Liberty under a giant torch made of TOYS! Where was this stuff when we were kids?? She even got to run a city snack cart, which is right up her alley! After all of this we were on the water area. She put on a smock and began playing with boats, damns, and ducks. The only bad thing about this place was as she was doing one thing she would see something else, so she bounces off walls going from one thing to the next. It was like letting her loose in a candy store with endless amounts of candy stuck to the walls. After the water she climbed on a climbing wall and then danced on the floor piano from the movie Big.

The fun did not end there, it was just beginning.. The best was down stairs! As we got downstairs we wound through the Alice and Wonderland maze, dressed up and had tea with the mad hatter. She laid in the bed of the Three Bears, and hung up the mittens from The Three Little Kittens who Lost their Mittens. She drove a dump truck and then unloaded all of the bricks from it into a wheel barrel. She got to clock in and out on the time machine, luckily she got paid for all of this work.. LOL After the dump truck we headed over to a pretend McDonald's where she made her own lunch and than sat down to eat it (all pretend food of course). We then headed over to the hospital nursery where she put on a doctors jacket and took care of the babies, then analyzed some X-Rays. She shot a movie, cleaned a front porch, poured some friends some lemonade, and vacuumed. Her favorite part was to come where she had a little shopping cart that she actually got to push around and load up with groceries.. She went grocery shopping by herself!! After the shopping trip Daddy checked her out, then she checked me out. She said my total was $10,000 so I had to run, I didn't have that kind of money.

As you can imagine we had to basically drag her out kicking and screaming but she had an absolute BLAST! As we were leaving we had to get a picture of her doing a cartwheel in front of one of the signs. The sign was doing a cartwheel so she wanted to do one too.

This museum was once on Jon and Kate Plus 8, which is where we found out about it. Isabelle curious as to why they were not there that day, but she got over it. The Please Touch Museum was the greatest place on Earth! I can't wait to go back one day.
