Vacation Day 8- A Traumatic Day at the Beach

This day at the beach started out like every other. We greased up with sunscreen, got on the bathing suits and then carried a mountain of Isabelle's toys down to the beach. The only thing different from this day was the WIPE OUT. Isabelle has been a little scared of the water this year so I was surprised when she agreed to go out in the water with Dave. I was taking pictures of them out in the water when a huge wave snuck up on Dave. I quit snapping pictures because I was worried and started watching first hand rather than threw a lens. I am so upset with myself because it was a sight to see, Dave holding Isabelle up in the air so not to let her get under the water as Dave is drowning from this rouge wave. Her head never went under but she was still pretty upset and shaken. Now she refers to the ocean as purely "decoration", and it is only for Mommys and Daddys not kids.. LOL

the first look at the rouge wave

Way taller than the two of them

Dave turning the shoulder and taking the brunt of the wave

Before the wave, Isabelle playing in the sand. After Isabelle telling Pop Pop Fish about the horrible wave that changed her life FOREVER. What a drama queen

Isabelle taking care of naked baby, followed by her burying naked baby in the sand up to her head. We did discover that Iz will be a great big sister. We were sitting on the beach when a baby started crying, instantly Isabelle runs to the babies rescue and starts singing her lullabies. The baby stopped and would just stare at her watching her sing and dance. This happened every 5 minutes or so, it was so cute and sweet. We need a little baby!
