Cruise-Monday

Monday was a relaxing day at sea. We walked around the ship, checked out the scenery and eventually relaxed at the pool. I did learn a valuable lesson on Monday, if your husband wants to run sunscreen on your chest despite his motives LET HIM DO IT! Dave offered to rub sunscreen on my chest and I turned him down. I guess when I was applying the sunscreen for myself that I conveniently missed my chest and burned so bad! Dave was nice enough to tell me on numerous occasions after that if he asked to rub my chest then there is probably a good reason and I should just let him =)

The pool was freezing so Dave and Isabelle hung out in the "warm"tub, because Isabelle did not want to go in the hot tub. Amazing how you can change one word and that magically brings a whole new meaning to things

For those of you who have been on the Conquest I had to take a picture of the new 12 foot screen on the pool deck, it was very cool! This picture is of Isabelle applying her own sunblock, of course after we had already done it. I turn my head for one second and she has sunblock all over her mouth and face.

Isabelle's new thing is to frown when we take pictures, what a turd! By the end of Monday Isabelle had passed out during the evening show and was carried back to the room. I had to take her traditional towel animal picture while she was passed out in her jammies.

The Wink Family Cruise- Sunday

We had a great time on our cruise, but discovered that 7 days might be a little long for Isabelle. She is going through some sort of attachment phase these days. She has never been attached to a certain item but lately she has been paying extra special attention to Pinky Baby and her "white blanket". With that being said, from the moment we got on the boat she started asking when we were going back to our "old home". I think it was an attachment thing, possibly a feeling of security but luckily she managed to still have a wonderful time.

Here are the picture from our first day on the trip, Sunday. This was a family cruise to celebrate three birthdays. The cruise was Dave, Isabelle, Mom Mom (Sandy Dave's Mom), Pop Pop (Dave Sr.), Pop Pop from way up high (Sandy's Dad), Brandon (brother-in-law), Melissa (sister-in-law), Aunt Teeny (Dave's great aunt), Uncle Steve (Sandy's brother), and Julie (Steve's girlfriend), and myself.

Isabelle's new Dress

I am so excited to show you the creation that I made last night for Isabelle. As I mentioned in an earlier blog Jaime and I got together and had a sewing party, here is what came out of it:

Isabelle is going through a phase of not like/liking certain clothes. I don't really think that she dislikes them it just something she hears me say. So when I brought it home I fully expected her to say she didn't like it and of course I was right, she hated it =) Then this morning after I told her I was going to try becuase she didn't like she all the sudden said she LOVED it! She is not grateful but at least she is compassionate =) We have had so many compliments today, I just love it! Proud Mommy

Princess Day

Here are some pictures of Isabelle at The Little Gym on Princess day. She had so much fun as usual, but this day she really had fun pretending to be a princess.

No Electricity

Yesterday morning Isabelle was in the middle of watching her favorite TV show, Sid the Science Kid, when all of a sudden the power went out. She was so upset, but decided that if she just kept turning off and on the TV that it would eventually come on. I explained to her that the power was out and that would not work so maybe we should get dresses and head to gymnastics a little early. She then got upset that the lights wouldn't come on, again explained about the power and told her that it was light outside so we could see fine. I assured her we would be ok, but she was still compelled to go find her flash light. I headed upstairs to get her some clothes when I saw Isabelle headed toward the office. I yelled out, "If you are going to go play with your Computer Cool School it won't work, the power is off". You would have thought that I just killed her dog, all of sudden she screams in terror "NOOOOOOO, not my Cool School". I knew then that I had to get her out of the house and fast, she was melting down right before me. As we are getting dressed she says, "Mommy we need to find someone with power. Maybe they will have a little kid and they might have a Cool School I can play". LOL, How in the world would this kid live without electricity!

As we were pulling out of the driveway she assured me that if the power was not on by the time we got home that she would use her Handy Manny tools to fix it.

Mommy projects

My good friend, Jaime and I have decided that we want to start making some boutique type clothes for Isabelle and Kaitlyn. We have our very first sewing project tomorrow night! We are going to make both of the girls a spring/Easter dress and I have to say that I am soooo excited. I have already cut out all of my fabric and ironed all my hems in anticipation for tomorrow nights big project. I will keep you updated on the outcome.

Last week I decided to try out the art of appliqueing. Isabelle had a Rock N Roll theme at Little Gym this week so I decided that I would use this as my perfect opportunity to make an applique shirt. The shirt came out ok, and I was able to learn a lot from some of the mistakes I made. My next shirt should be awesome, I just have to figure out what I am going to do. I attached a picture of Isabelle wearing the shirt the night I made it. I tried getting a picture of her in it yesterday but she was to upset to do it (that will be another post). Yesterday she looked so cute in her jean skirt, black capri leggings, rock shirt with a white thermal underneath.

3 Year Check Up

Isabelle went last week for her 3 year check and all was well. She gained a whooping 3 lbs this year and is now 24 lbs 8 oz. I am convinced that she will be 6 before she ever hits the 30 lbs. mark.. My petite little angel, no clue where she gets it from. Maybe Dave and I are petite people stuffed in tubby people bodies =)

She is 3% for her weight and 10% for her height at just under 36 inches.
